"Last time on Game of Thrones, everything happened.

George R. R. Martin's world has always been famously complicated, and by design. The story of Westeros isn't a simple one, just like the story of the real world isn't a simple one. Rather than getting lost in the myopia of honor or ego, the wisest people—and the wiliesjat survivors—are those who understand the complex political, historical, and personal forces that shape events and see the world from a broader point of view, not unlike the audience itself. From that perspective, even kings and conquerors become little more than pawns in a bigger game that has been in motion for thousands of years. What's the difference between how Littlefinger looks at his world and how Game of Thrones Wiki contributors see it? Probably very little.

Regardless, Littlefingerin' ain't easy, and not everybody has the time to watch a 60-hour Game of Thrones marathon to reacquaint themselves with the world of Westeros before the show returns Sunday. So here's a quick recap of where each major character or group was at when the credits rolled on Season 3, as well as the big questions looming for them in Season 4…."

A few hours since we can enjoy the new season.

How of those histories are the most interesting to resolve for you?

I like very much Kaleese. I'm interested to know were she is going to land and which army is going to combat first in the Seven Kingdoms.

Also like very much Tyron, but it seems that he has not now an important role in the war.

Finally, the two I want most to know are Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth.

And you?

The war? Maybe not. However, his career as a wedding planner does show some promise.

I'm interested to know were she is going to land and which army is going to combat first in the Seven Kingdoms.

Don't hold your breath waiting for that.

Danaerys (Her TITLE is "Khaleesi", not her name. It's Dothraki for "queen" or something like that.) came into her dragons before Westeros was ripe for her to come over. So, even at the end of Book 5, Martin has her just wandering around Esteros freeing slaves and failing at governance and romance. There IS a SPOILER cliffhanger at the end of B5 which may or may not be relevant, but I will not go into it. Read the books.

Many thanks John for your good guidance.
A shame that Khaleesi Army don't clash with the Westeros ones.
I want to see those "Inmortals Guards" in action! (smile).
At TV I saw that a "spanish" new character is going on in this chapter.

Are there "spanish" people on Westeros or it's only the nationality of the actor?

Dorne is in the far south of the continent of Westeros. It was not united into the 7 Kingdoms until about 100 years after Aegon the
conqueror landed, and even them its rulers retained the title of Prince. If you go with the Medieval France and England analogies for Westeros, then Dorne becomes medieval Spain. My wargaming mind immediately led me to associate Dorne with Spain, from the style of fighting. grin
So, I thought that Pedro Pascal made a good Prince Oberyn Martell when I first saw him.

Now I understand.
Many thanks again my friend.

Spain is a good parrelel for Dorne esp with the "arab" influence.

A huge battle is brewing at the end of Dance with Dragons (and being actually fought in the pre-released chapters for Winds of Winter) that does involve the "Unsullied", armies of the east and a major house of Westeros.

I putting together a DBA3.0 game for this battle – which we do not yet know the outcome of…
