Hey TMP, having finished off all the kits in my WW2 pile, I'm taking a break for something new!

I will start this off by saying I am a Halo fan. I like the books, the comics, and the games. I bought a few of the action clix figures and touched up the paint and re based them. I am happy with them, and searching for more to buy and testing how they work in various rule systems.

I really want a Scarab. It's pricey (Around 200 USD) but I can afford it. I really want to do a Scarab Scenario. However, after reading through numerous reviews I am on the fence! Reviews range from garbage to worship (as usual). The main stickler for me is supposedly it is very rigid (unmovable) and apparently the plastic is very brittle and cheap. Moving legs would be nice, but isn't so much an issue since on a 5'x8' table I doubt the thing would be moving far anyway. My main concern is the plastic issue.

If someone owns this thing, could you shed light on this? Does it just need some reinforcing? Some better glue? Are these plastic reviews false?

Thanks for any help guys!

My son has one and it has been okay for him.Very nice toy and a good range of miniatures too.

Thanks for the response! So it doesn't seem prone to breaking?

My son has one as well--it is not that delicate a model. The biggest weakness is that the legs come off--but if you want to glue them on, I suppose that would fix that.

Before you buy one be aware there are 2 versions of the Scarab, one of them was a convention (battle damaged?) version that has a higher asking price than the other.
