An accomplished pianist can play an entire piano concerto from memory. Most concertos are a lot longer than 6 and a half minutes. And he probably knows more than one …

When I was in the Glee Club in college, I never even glanced at the sheet music, the rare times we were issued them. Mostly because I cannot read music and it would have just confused me. grin

You do not need sheet music to sing the tenor part of the MTC arrangement of the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Or the Hallelujah chorus.
