Used to patronize a company in England, that specialized in 15mm DBA type ancient and middle age figures, as well as some fantasy. Can't remember who they are. Not 15mmco.UK, and not Essex or the more well known companies. They really specialized in ancinets, and also carried the Pendraken 10mm line.
:(
Thanks.

I can name about twenty "3rd World" (15mm) ancients manufacturers of the top of my head. Do you have a picture of any of the figures? What particular period were you working in/on? (Twenty-six manufacturers of Gauls/Galatians/Britons and counting
.) I have sort of given up on an accurate list of those who don't make such. They seem to come and go and change hands. I have figures from at least another dozen or so. Museum or Irregular are the most likely; Any interest in a printed checklist or catalog of manufacturers out there? |

Just looked at the latest version of the Manuscript, Nineteen (19) "Important" manufacturers, 25 "Others" (Plus the five Pioneers
.) (Which gets Minifigs listed twice). I was trying to create a "checklist" yesterday, I think the thing to do is to put Chariot/Essex/Minifigs/Old Glory and Xyston at the top as most likely to be encountered. Then who makes the main list. Anyone interested in looking at the draft and commenting on who was actually at Cold Wars this year? (PM me) |

I agree, Chariot/MM are some of the best sculpts in existence, real 15mm too, not Giants. BUT, in my lifetime (well, the last twenty years or so) I have had five epic fails where an element was totally destroyed by being dropped/stepped on. Amazing how resilient some of these little guys are. Three of the "Epic Fails" involved Chariot figures breaking off at the ankles. I REALLY like their rear rank Hoplites (who survived the box dropping, it was a Cavalry element fatally injured); Proper Upright Spear (85 degrees anyways) you can fit in your box and "Match up" with the opponent without a lot of fiddling around. |

And their Egyptian spearmen's heads break off because the necks are too fine. Roy |
