Here are the first images of the Antares-Pattern Mekanoid infantrybots. They have been dubbed "Antares-Pattern" due to their first appearance in that star system, but this combat chassis has since been deployed in many other Mekanoid attacks as well.

There are three configurations --

Jaegers: with two energy weapon arms
Fusiliers: with one energy weapon arm and one power claw arm
Grenadiers: with two power claw arms

They are about as tall as humans in 15mm scale, perhaps slightly taller, but they are much more massive. The upper and lower bodies are separate and attach via a generous ball mount that gives lots of room for posing.

For each type there are six upper body poses and six lower.

Here's the first look, at assembled and blackprimed Fusiliers:

Oh my God! MECHANOIDS!!!

khurasanminiatures02 Apr 2014 6:17 p.m. PST

No, Mekanoids, which I've made for years! These are new models for the "infantry" though.

Instant love for these. Are they replacing or complementing the current ones? I know there was word of some of your lines being redone.

khurasanminiatures02 Apr 2014 6:55 p.m. PST

Complementing. The current ones sell ok, a few packs a week, and I'll keep them in the line.

wminsing02 Apr 2014 6:58 p.m. PST

Tough looking group!

cloudcaptain02 Apr 2014 7:21 p.m. PST

I am going to field these guys as titans in 1/600.

JRacel02 Apr 2014 7:32 p.m. PST

These look great Jon!!!!

Micropanzer02 Apr 2014 7:34 p.m. PST

Another home run – I say drop the old ones and sell me the production rights for them I am planning on painting the ones I just ordered up as amakudari android soldiers.

TK 42102 Apr 2014 7:35 p.m. PST

Sorry for the misspelling, I got too excited.

khurasanminiatures02 Apr 2014 7:45 p.m. PST

grin

The Mekanoids in Apartment 17B, not to be confused with the Mechanoids in Apartment 7B….

Eli Arndt02 Apr 2014 8:08 p.m. PST

Great looking machines. Nice to see some non-Terminator killer robots grin

They are the business, release and I shall buy!

BlackWidowPilot Fezian02 Apr 2014 9:30 p.m. PST

Like 'em! They'll make nice warbots for my JSDF force for Tomorrow's War…evil grin

Very interest, will purchase.

Gokiburi02 Apr 2014 10:40 p.m. PST

I like them, they remind me of tiny, updated Void Tactical Teratosynths.

Umpapa02 Apr 2014 11:05 p.m. PST

Very menacing, very nice.

Stealth100003 Apr 2014 12:01 a.m. PST

That is wonderful. It has a similar sort of aesthetic to one of micropanzers races helmets. I was just looking at getting some of them next month. They would make great support robots. I really need to win the lottery so I can get all the lovely 15mm goodness out there.

TinyTerrainModels03 Apr 2014 12:02 a.m. PST

Looking good

Craig

Damn!

Now your other ones, they're alright…

But these, these blow them out of the water… swing back around, and them blow them out of the park for good measure! They look absolutely stunning! Really do capture that sense of 'hulking menace' that I personally felt didn't come from the other mekanoids.

I'm REALLY looking forward to when these start selling… but gees, between these, the MDMS vehicles and drones, and the Nova Respublik and Federals, I'm going to be eating the cardboard boxes on delivery to manage between payslips!

MUST BUY EVERYTHING!

Fritadas03 Apr 2014 2:02 a.m. PST

I want to use these instead of power armor for my NSL. Also, they'd be perfect for 15mm Void Syntha Teratosynths

That is wonderful. It has a similar sort of aesthetic to one of micropanzers races helmets.

The plough headed look with over and under eye lenses is the distinctive feature of all Mekanoids -- the existing infantry, the Dictator and Hatchet all have it.

Twoball Cane03 Apr 2014 6:06 a.m. PST

I see what you mean..if what u meant were micropanzers amakurani*
( my apologies if I spelled that race wrong).

It could a battle armor for injured/crippled amakurani…who still want to fight

They definitely fit w mekanoids…as intended

Rothgar03 Apr 2014 6:30 a.m. PST

I'll be using some of those for Mini Mech.

Heinz Good Aryan03 Apr 2014 6:46 a.m. PST

pose makes them kind of look like robots that orcs designed, except without random wood planks nailed to them!!!

khurasanminiatures03 Apr 2014 8:15 a.m. PST

Also the ball mount on the legs is very detailed, so it can be used as a casualty marker -- just a pair of legs standing there, torso blown away! grin

Meanwhile, back at the lab … basecoat:

Rhoderic III and counting03 Apr 2014 10:46 a.m. PST

If they're the size I think they are, they would be good alternative FLAILs "Infantry" for Heavy Gear Blitz. Same kind of design, but less boxy and with more poses. Might have to convert the energy weapons to look more like chainguns, though.

By the way, a cool plot twist for the Khurasan sci-fi setting (is "Federation Forward" its name?) would have been if the Antares-Pattern Mekanoids turned out to be at war with the "old" Mekanoids. Some sort of AI schism.

grommet3703 Apr 2014 11:31 a.m. PST

I like the fact that they tie in well with the "new look" giant bug bot and flying death bot, but still work well with the "older" mekanoids, centaurbots, etc.

My shopping list continues to add Khurasan codes.

The alien/android contingent could be quite overwhelming.

In a good way!

Heinz Good Aryan03 Apr 2014 12:41 p.m. PST

keloid!!! id like to see some of those infantry definitely! i don't like the robots though, i think they are a little too herky jerky……

TeknoMerk03 Apr 2014 1:23 p.m. PST

The models look fantastic! And the number of poses makes this even better. About when will the new models be available?

khurasanminiatures03 Apr 2014 1:39 p.m. PST

Hopefully in a few weeks -- I don't have the production castings yet, but they are working on them, and the painter is finishing them now.

Heinz Good Aryan03 Apr 2014 1:55 p.m. PST

are they metal or resin???

khurasanminiatures03 Apr 2014 2:44 p.m. PST

They're pewter castings.

kallman03 Apr 2014 3:32 p.m. PST

Yep I will be adding these to my growing robotic army. Nice design.

Johny Boy03 Apr 2014 3:49 p.m. PST

Love them, yet another army on the starting blocks

Redroom03 Apr 2014 4:08 p.m. PST

neat design, very articulated, which I like

sleb2203 Apr 2014 4:51 p.m. PST

Very,very nice!

SpaceJacker03 Apr 2014 6:16 p.m. PST

The originals were not for me, but these are really cool. Next order is building up! :)

khurasanminiatures04 Apr 2014 5:02 a.m. PST

These are a ways off SJ but I'd love to see what you'll do with them! Miguel is going to do a killer PJ I reckon….

AWuuuu04 Apr 2014 3:55 p.m. PST

Dont know why but i fear that you'll add white star and some red stripes for Americanoids :>

Thats blue coats fault :>

Chatticus Finch15 Nov 2014 5:06 a.m. PST

Bit of threadomancy, but is there any more news on these bad boys? Hoping there may be a Dragoon version on treads or a quadruped crab-like body… that'd be wicked!

War Monkey15 Nov 2014 8:56 p.m. PST

Wow how did I miss these, they're great!

khurasanminiatures15 Nov 2014 9:27 p.m. PST

I may kickstart them to get them into production -- we'll see….

Chatticus Finch16 Nov 2014 12:24 a.m. PST

Awesome, they're brilliant models and the beefy look suits the whole series!
