Just saw this on the very quiet WECW Yahoo group and have ordered a copy as I like the Partizan scenario books and this is a campaign I am interested in. I like looking at them at least as I have yet to paint my ECW stuff. I haven't seen any reviews on the books so I assume they are considered pretty good? Cheers All, My latest book of scenarios is now available directly in the UK (or via airmail) from Caliver Books (Partizan Press), and eventually in the US from On Military Matters. Link below is for Caliver Books. link Note that this is the first of a new version, that deals with scenarios of one specific campaign. Below is the title and contents of the 12 scenarios included. I should have Vol.5 of the regular ECW Scenarios ready and to layout by the end of this summer (at the latest), so something to also look for later this year. Good Gaming, Bob Giglio --- English Civil War Campaign Scenarios, Vol. 1: The 1643 Campaign for the South-West – Sir Waller Waller versus Sir Ralph Hopton Scenarios 1 & 2) "To Do The Kingdome Good Service
" - The Battles of Glastonbury and Chewton Mendip, 12 June 1643 Scenario 3) "In the Mouthe of the Enimy
" – The Battle of Stoke Lane, 1 July 1643 Scenarios 4 & 5) "A Very Hot Dispute" – The Battles of Monckton Farlegh and Claverton Down, 3 July 1643 Scenario 6) "The Boldest Thing I Ever Saw the Enemy Do
" – The Battle of Freezing Hill, 5 July 1643 Scenario 7) "A Very Pleasant Hill" – The Battle of Lansdown, 5 July 1643 Scenarios 8 & 9 & 10) "We Might Fight No More in Holes" – The Actions at Chippenham, Rowde and Beckhampton, 8-10 July 1643 Scenario 11) "We Hope the Lord Will Keep Us" – The Siege of Devizes, 10-12 July 1643 Scenario 12) "Runaway Down!" – The Battle of Roundway Down, 13 July 1643 |

Don't assume that because a book hasn't been reviewed, it's good. My experience of Partizan publications is that they are poorly proofed and edited. |

I've always found Bob Giglio's scenario books excellent and highly detailed, will definitely be getting a copy. |

'Sir Waller Waller' certainly suggests poor proofreading! |

The previous books in this series have all been excellent, so I will certainly be hunting a copy down. |

The Partizan Press ECW scenario books are all pretty good. I have the first 4 and will most likely continue getting more as they come out. |

I liked their previous work to want to give this one a go. |

Great series of books, well worth buying – typo notwithstanding which I hope isn't in the book itself! |

LOL – Yes, that typo was my fast fingers typing online. :-) You should find -- as with the other books in the series that I've authored -- very, very few mistakes with regard to edits. Some times one or three slip in, from looking at the same text all the time, but I usually catch them. Hope you enjoy the new book for hours of ECW gaming. Regards, Bob Giglio |
