Most of my Crusaders are Legio Heroica and now I would like to add the Military Orders. I see Donnington New Era have suitable figures. Can anyone tell me if Donnington New Era and Legio Heroica figures compatible? Thanks |

I wouldn't use them together. LH are quite bulky by comparison. The heads and helmets probably show the biggest difference. Donnington do mix well with OG, Mirliton and Alain Touller, so if you have seen any of these with LH it will give a guide. Black Hat infantry mix well with these but the horses are a bit smaller than the others. Having said that, the LH figures on Saturday's SoA Montaperti game didn't exactly leap out from the others. |

I think LH will mix OK with the Mirliton mounted because they have big horses. The LH foot would stand well taller. |

I am an enthusiastic fan of both product lines, but Legio Heroica is noticeably larger. Donnington New Era are smaller than the original Donningtons. For some reason they decided to push the trend towards 18mm back to 15mm. They are lovely sculpts, scale is more comparable to Essex 15mm and Feudal Casting 15mm. Contemporary sculpting standards, old school scale. |
