It has been a long time since I posted last time. I have been playing DUST, working and stuff like that. But now I have received (and painted) some new Swedish soldiers. They have a m/14 machinegun and can be used as soldiers from 1914 to around 1943. After that they can be used as Home Guards.
If you want to see more pictures and read more about the machinegun (it was used by many more countries), just follow my link: link There are more figures, I will show pictures as quick as I can paint them. |

Nice stuff. I checked out your blog. Lots of good things. I am doing VBCW and would like to read what you had to say about this but link was not active. I can see these troops as a freikorp like volunteer group. I already have Norwegians and the Swedish would be a nice addition See them half way down page here link |

Thansk, everyone. Bobgnar: I never finished my piece about Sweden in VBCW. I never really came up with a good explanation why swedes would use Swedish uniforms in England. But now I have been thinking a little more and have start writing about it. It involves Norwegians and a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. |

In the late 1930's the Archbishop of Canterbury attempted to create a Communion of Churches among like-minded churches in Northern Europe. This included Norway and Sweden, plus the Baltic states, and Denmark. This is tied to the Life and Work movement, developed by Swedish theologian Nathan Söderblom. It concerned the role of the church in fighting fascist regimes. This can form a link between religious groups in Sweden and the Anglican League. That will be my way of getting some of the beautiful Swedish figures into England. |
