It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

Hey folks –

I know this is a minis site, but we are going to have Lost Battalion and the Sergeants! Miniatures Game, as well as 1A Games and Tide of Iron all with us at Origins in the GrogHeads Central Command as a big wargaming program.

Please check out the announcement and see if there's something there that piques your interest

Thanks!

This is good news, I was a little disappointed by the amount of miniatures games at Origins last year… I know minis arent the focus, there just seemed to be less last year than in previous years.

Hopeful that some of my fave minis games will be there.

Oh my goodness. Your use of the word pique caused my interest in the thread to peak, so I took a peek at it. Well done that man.

Gettysburg Soldiers will be there, bringing a large Alamo game and introducing our "ALAMO SOLDADOS" version of the Gettysburg Soldiers Rules. Will make official announcement on TMP as soon as Origins Gamefair posts the schedule of game events.

We're primarily focusing on the tabletop wargaming crowd with the GrogHeads Central Command, but there will be games with a minis component, so I thought it worth dropping a line over here to see who might be interested.

Hope to see y'all there! :)

15mm, using the new Blue Moon Alamo fort and figures (including some interesting conversions).

Looks like Collectors Showcase ( collectorsbattlefield.com ) is going to be there – so there's another reason for the minis guys to swing by : )

I'll be attending Origins for the first time. Probably just Saturday but I'll be buying a full weekend ticket.

I'm into Savage Worlds and the Firefly Board Game right now.

Any suggestions on what to look for.

I'm an OLD gamer. Been playing since 1980. Started with the D&D manila books. Also love FLUXX any version.

Take a look at the master even grid, and find 1 game to register for in advance and play in. It'll make sure you have at least 1 guaranteed seat for a game you want to play in.
Looney Labs used to have a BIG series of events there, including a lot of Fluxx games. But GAMA's idiotic decision to move to May last year killed off the big Looney Labs events and it looks like they aren't coming back this year.

Staff Wargaming team and the Central Command are in the area labeled as "Command Post" in the exhibit hall book.

Look for the giant blue canopy with the camp net behind it along the gold drapery

All of our events are in that area.
