All else fails the CIA and other western intel agencies had plenty of work in 1965.
One of my buddies Dad flew A-26's for the CIA after retiring from the Air Force. The majority were Cuban Bay of Pigs vets but there were others as well.

Pick a small, backwater island, and organize a few mates to overthrow the current dictator/government there.

Shouldn't be too difficult in many of them, if you have a bit of initiative, and leverage any unrest of the civilians.
