I may have hallucinated it, or I may have thought it would have been an awesome design.

The picture was an assembly picture of a spaceship or mecha and its "booster" and weapons layout. The design was very much like a Dendrobium from Gundam…

but instead of a Gundam, there was a fighter looking something akin to an F4 Phantom.

It was not an Alpha/Beta Legios (although in the same vein) or a Super Valk/Veritech.

And oddly, the fighter had different cockpit modules.

Any ideas on what this may be?

Hmmm… I am thinking its either a Gundam core booster variant or a Macross Frontier VF-25

Another guess might be the Prowler fighter from Five Star Stories
