From Friday night at the 2014 Hot Lead wargaming convention held annually in Stratford, Ontario. A fun skirmish game put on by the K.E.G.S. wargaming club using rules from, I noticed, TMP advertisers Too Fat Lardies. (And Army Group North Miniatures unit markers!) June 6, 1944 German forces attack a farmstead held by elements of the 508th P.I.R. near Saint Jores. Keith Burnett GMs this 28mm WW2 game using Chain of Command rules for up to 7 players. link |

It was a fun game, even if Don from Chicago was picking on my musical German squad! But he got his in the end from the funny German squad. :-) (an in-joke for those who played in the game) The patrol phase was interesting, and seems to be something that could be taken and used for all sorts of other platoon-scale games, from sci-fi to modern to even fantasy skirmish. |
