I'm working on an idea for an IHMN scenario. Its an archeological expedition concept. All three companies are searching for an artifact in the jungle. The archeology skill is a creation of my own. Roll 1d10 and add skill to roll, on a 7-9 the artifact is unearthed. Bands of Zulu warriors will also appear randomly, moving toward the neatest figure. Any thoughts on the companies? Society of Thule, Servants of Ra, and Lord Curr's Company or an English hunting party. Both the Society and the Servants of Ra have an obvious occult and necromantic connection, and there should be an Allen Quartermain-type involved for the English to stop the nefarious scheme. |

French, based around the Foreign Legion if course. |

French, based around the Foreign Legion if course. Having fallen in with a certain lady novelist-turned-journalist, who, now that her sister is well, must find new challenges! I'd like to see the skill expanded; 'standing amongst the glittering and jeweled goblets, our hero knew to select the humble earthenware bowl

The Hunting Party, led by the inimitable Sir Allan Quatermain (HVF). The Servants of Ra, but a company in which you replace the cultists with Nubians (IHMN). The Legion Entrangere, keen to advance La Republic's cause in Africa. |

How about a Belgian Force Publique team? Leopold wants his share of the goodies! |

Thanks for the tips, those are great ideas for companies in the scenario. |

I have come out with two archaeology-themed companies that may be useful: The first is an international outfit called the Special Archaeological Service of the Society for the Investigation of Mystic Phenomenon that travels the world in an aeronef called the Amaunet: PDF link The second is the archaeological arm of the Society of Thule called the Forschungsgruppe (Research Team): PDF link The top characters for the SAS are in the Indiana Jones mold and are based on the famous American archaeologist James Henry Breasted, his wife, and the English archaeologist Howard Carter. The Forschungsgruppe's top characters are based on famous German archaeologists Gustaf Kossinna and Ludwig Borchardt, plus fictional characters based loosely after the Germans in the Indiana Jones movies.
