Just added a few images of the new Victrix plastic Greeks to the homepage.

victrixlimited.com

We have the test frames for the Hoplites and frames for the Peltasts, archers and slingers arrive on Monday. We will be putting out more info and a newsletter this coming week.

This was my first bit of painting in about 3 years! I really enjoyed getting back into it again but my how my eyes have aged!

Best regards,

Steve.

They look fantastic Steve, can't wait for both sets!

Steve. They do look very good – one question. Will I be able to have these unarmoured chaps standing with spears upright? Planning to use them for the rear ranks of your mercenary hoplites.

Another question if I may – Republican Romans, any rough estimate when these are being released?

Hi Gary,

The Hoplites/Peltasts are in thrusting or underarm positions. It is quite easy to chop the arm at the shoulder and rotate it 90 degrees if you want to get the position you are after. You could also use some of the arms from the Heavy Hoplites boxes for the desired pose.

The Republican Romans are in the tooling stage and we expect to get first test frames early June. We are going to have a flyer at Salute showing all the parts and what you can expect to come from the set plus future Punic Wars plans.

Regards,

Steve.

I pretty much loving my Victrix hoplites. I expect these will not be disappointing either!

Mithridates02 Apr 2014 2:44 p.m. PST

Thanks Steve – I presume the flyer will also be on the web site for us poor colonials unable to attend Salute? Maybe next year I will get my act together and plan a European holiday which allows me to attend!

I wonder just how many Peltasts I can justify………

Probably not much not to love about Victrix other than them not making all the figures you want….which are many. Great stuff again.
Even the thought of plastic chariots was not silly to them… anyone with spare £10,000.00 GBP they don't need?
