Shots from a recent ACW battle using 1:72 IMEX figs and "Hearts of Tin." We jokingly said the army was less expensive than the bases they were on! Anyways, a lot of fun. You can see more pics here: link |

Lot's of great plastics available for this era. I really like your "Frugality Pledge". |

Very nice! 1/72 is certainly the frugal way to go, and nowadays the quality is better and better. Even Redbox are producing nice sets, which is a miracle. I like your terrain as well |

And
if you used the Hobby Lobby app, you could get 40% off the figures!! |

Yep – I often worry the bases are more expensive But looks good, and fun, which is a key point in my book |

@Ghost 6, both the Hobby Lobby's we go to have discontinued stocking the IMEX figures. They are in the clearance section right now marked down to about $6 USD a bag. So stock up! Thanks for the kind words. Bill and I both were pleased with the appearance of the figures, even if I didn't flock my bases (which I will now that he shamed it into it). Hearts of Tin was a lot of fun, although we both had some questions about the rules. |

I go with plastic 1/72 for almost all my figures – ACW, WW1 and WW2. HäT Industrie is making some amazing stuff for WW1 right now. Luckily, the ACW is well-provided with figures in plastic 1/72, though there is always room for more. Dismounted cavalry, for one. |
