Hi all!

Just wanted to share a bunch of eye candy… everything from ACW to AWI to Napoleonics, and both 40mm and 28mm! I stopped by my buddy's place and took some great photos of his fantastic toy soldiers

On top of that, a bunch of good looking scenery!

So, come on by and take a peek!

Those figures look wonderful!

Arteis29 Mar 2014 6:53 p.m. PST

Wonderful! I love the little touch of the fallen leaves!

Wow!! I really like how he makes his flags look like they are rippling in a stiff breeze.

Buddy's place? Who's collection is this? Did your paint them and built the buildings? Need more details about this collection. This really is spectacular stuff. What rules? This is more than just toy soldiers, it's art.

Ah, yeah, Roly glad you enjoyed! I agree about the leaves, they look fantastic. Actually, was just talking this afternoon with him about your 4ground samurai buildings! Talk about timing:)

The flags are from Rick, the Flag Dude. He does great work!

And yes, one of my oldest buddies. Has some really impressive collections, although he never games with them and they never leave the house:). This is his (not often updated) blog:

That is his room.

Here is a link to photos of some of his stuff that I posted on my own blog.

But yeah, he has some fantastic collections and some great antiques. I am surely jealous!:)

Is that a proper sand table? I like the way everything is finished off just so. The plush curtains around the table, even the brass corner fittings on the table sides.

Ditto Arteis, beautiful figures and scenery, but all finished so nicely with a lovely table too.

Looks like his 40mm figures are a combination of Sash & Saber, Front Rank & Trident Designs.

FireZouave30 Mar 2014 6:21 a.m. PST

Simply outstanding! It's a shame they aren't used to game!

ACWBill01 Apr 2014 5:12 a.m. PST

Lovely stuff.

PentexRX801 Apr 2014 9:03 a.m. PST

Wow-ee. Those figures are great looking and I am very jelous of his "game" room. Can I be his friend, too? haha

Thanks for sharing.

I have seen both of your sites in the past and have enjoyed browsing them once again.

Thanks guys! John, some of the ones pictured are your old ones rebased. Yeah Yeah I don't game much anymore but I'm more about the spectacle and beautiful eye candy. I call the room my Fortress of Solitude but really all are welcome!

Its not a true sand table, I use pink foam under felt that is locked into place by the surrounding frame then everything is dusted with flock to hide the terrain edges.
