The facial sculpting is worthy of 54's let alone 18 mm figures.
Exquisite work – well done

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP27 Nov 2014 1:02 a.m. PST

Thanks! :-)
I cast some amount to stock now and then make them available.

paulalba28 Nov 2014 6:51 a.m. PST

Order placed, looking forward to these guys!

Right 3 chaps are the last big "true 18mm" fellows.
For now on all average men will be in size of left 3 chaps or smaller – 15-17mm.

My package of figures arrived, the generals look great, but also the mounted infantry officer

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP01 Dec 2014 9:49 a.m. PST

But infantry himself?!
Not so good? ;-)

Are the horses of the painted officers by von Winterfeldt, heavy or light AB horses?

Rob of Eureka USA has agreed to sell horses separate. Just need to tell him which ones.

von Winterfeldt01 Dec 2014 2:05 p.m. PST

I did not look in detail for the infantry but only on the mounted figures

AB horses, for the mounted Murats I used mainly light cavalry ones, but on one or two heavy cavalry horses and for all Russian generals so far – heavy cavalry horses.

Painted by von Winterfeldt..

paulalba29 Nov 2015 7:56 p.m. PST

Some incredible painting there Von Winterfeldt

People asked – how my 18mm and 1:100 sets of generals will mix together by height.
So I lined them up in mixed order.. and added Murat and ADC and AB general to line..

I think you should try for a standard size in the future. It may be better for sales if the range is more complete rather than varied.

Supercilius Maximus26 Jun 2016 11:19 a.m. PST

Nice figures, but they do make the AB horses look too small.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP06 Jul 2016 5:11 a.m. PST

I resculpted Bagration, Old one looks to wooden and was bad for casting.

von Winterfeldt06 Jul 2016 8:56 a.m. PST

nice – but a very low neck – the head sits almost on the shoulders

Eclipsing Binaries06 Jul 2016 2:23 p.m. PST

I have a feeling that the neck is fine, it just looks low because of the high collar.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP07 Jul 2016 1:27 a.m. PST

Now there are higher neck. Looks better?

von Winterfeldt07 Jul 2016 5:11 a.m. PST

in my view – yes, also I do like the feet and leg positioning of the "new" Bagration.

Marc at work07 Jul 2016 5:16 a.m. PST

So with apologies if I missed this – but how does one order these? Do they come with the AB horses, or does one need to buy those separately?

Thanks

(from a dedicated 1/72 fan but who still appreciates fine work in whatever scale)

go to

boki.ee

I usually pay with SEPA – but Sho takes credit cards as well, the service is first class.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP07 Jul 2016 5:45 a.m. PST

Hi Marc,
I don't sculpt horses yet, but use AB ones and these must be purchased separately from any AB provider.
You may order my humble handcraft on my homepage through PayPal or mail me if you want do use SEPA.

Marc the plastics fan08 Jul 2016 4:03 a.m. PST

Ah ha. Thanks. Now are there photos of the 18mm range alongside the 1/100 russian generals – how compatible are they? And do they all use AB horses or do the 1/100 use smaller steeds?

Thanks

Marc

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP08 Jul 2016 5:16 a.m. PST

They are fully compatible. Couple of post before there is comparable picture of all generals. The right one there is AB 18mm one.
From 15mm to 18mm all are 1:100, if they use the same 1:100 equipment. These are men witht height from 160cm to 190cm.
My 18mm generals simply have bigger faces, so they look bigger than others and I separated them to special set.
All generals use AB horses, who are 1:100 too, because AB started in true 1:100.

Excellent news. Thank you

Wonderful figures. von W's painting really does them justice and has been an invaluable resource, to one who struggles to even tell a Prussian from a Russian, once the green fades!

New Bagration is available..

How are doing to the plan of the various Borodin generals of both sides? I remember the map with all the leaders names from the post back in 2014.

Sho Boki Sponsoring Member of TMP21 Feb 2017 3:43 a.m. PST

Murat is ready. Russian last cavalry Generals for my new horses will be next, then French Generals. But all this takes time, because I am very slow.

Map is here..
