Hello chaps please can you recommend which range of cossacks would fit best with Musketeer Miniatures Great Northern War 28mm range |

I am not sure of the size fit, but Old Glory has excellent figures in their semi fantasy Cossack Wars and historical Renaissance Cossack ranges. Definitely different sculpting style, you may be better of with Assault Group. Foundry had excellent Cossack range for 7YW. I am not sure if they fit with early 18th century weapons wise. |

Of course given that Cossacks were to be found on both sides you might like to toy with the idea of using two different manufacturers so that they would also look a little different.. although it would take a real expert to define the differences. Perhaps an alternative would be to use the TAG Cossacks per se on one side and the Polish Cossacks on the other.. just a thought. (And I know I am over-simplifying by saying "both sides" – I mean allied to the Swedes and Russians respectively of course..) |

The Eureka and Foundry ones both are diverse enough to work for earlier periods I'd think. The Foundry set has the advantage of offering each figure in a mounted and a foot version. Size of either man or horse should not be such an issue as the human body varies widely, and cossacks were notorious for their small, pony-like mounts. |

What about the Wlach irregulars supporting Sweden? Any idea what they should look like? |
