I will be moving to Glasgow (Scotland) in August/September this year, and am looking for stores/clubs/events in the Glasgow area. Anyone got any suggestions?

I'm a bit out of touch but Parnie Street used to (and I believe still does) have 3 useful shops in it.
There are more than one club Phoenix link being prominent.

Good luck with the move, that should be a great adventure.

Static games in Parnie Street also search wappinshaw.blogspot.co.uk which will give like to club and links to others in area. wappinshaw not on this year though due to Copmmonwealth games BUT plenty of other shows disperesed throughoput year and scotland.

Hope you enjoy your stay. Glasgow is an excallent City as are the people (if a bit full on at times but hearts in the right place)

I'll try to get onto facebook tonight. The server at work won't let me get on there just now.

GUGS (Glasgow uni gaming society) do some wargames on Saturday, but mainly RPG and CCG stuff. I believe G3 (Glasgow games group) do more wargaming stuff.

Static, Spellbound, Dragon and George are all stores. There is also geek retreat that has a good welcoming atmosphere. Oh, and games workshop.

Hi,
My club, the G3, does Flames of War on a regular basis and one of our members is a Flames of War ranger. He organised both an Infantry Aces and Armor Aces campaign earlier this year.
The club meets in Woodside Hall near St George's Cross every Tuesday from about 6PM to 10PM.
Check our website at g3gamers.co.UK for more details.
All the best,
George.

I've been to Static Games before, but am not sure where those other stores are.

Glasgow and District Wargames Society was my old club when I lived in Glasgow back in the 80s. Looks like they're still going strong…

George and dragon just along the street from it and Jamiesons along from there on the corner.
