Beautiful work Vol! You're amassing a fantastic looking Spanish fleet. You really do the best rat lines. - James |

Another excellent ship, Vol. As James says your Spanish fleet is growing quite large. |

Oh! so nice Vol. I'm glad to see your islands as back-ground and not big books that flatten modal ships. Talk soon. Be safe Rory |

Vol, you have to share some secrets. Like, on the sails, do you actually pick out and paint each of the ropes and vertical lines on the sails, or do you use a drybrush over them, or a wash for a reverse effect? I just don't have the patience to pick them out individually
or the straight, steady hand to do so. Also, and this is something you do that I really like
what do you use as line to holding the main mast pennant out like that? It is a very cool effect, but the line looks so fine that I can't believe it's thread. Finally, where did you find that flag on the foremast, and what is it? Very nice work! Rob |
