Comments or corrections?

So I have a slew of minis coming (que the 'don't hold your breath' & 'good luck with that' comments)from the Kickstarter. Having little or no interest in the offered rules set, I was going to apply them to a house rules system using mechs, infantry, armor etc.

Are there any pages or blogs that show comparisons of infantry etc? Any and all help would be appreciated.

Yeah, the rules seemed not good to me as well (too slow and clunky for what it was representing), but I'm not sure what I would use instead. Maybe FWC? That's quite a bit faster, lots of dice, and no record keeping.

Haven't seen any comparison pics, though.

Wait. Weren't they shipping in December 2013?

"Wait. Weren't they shipping in December 2013?" good one Darth!(saying that makes me feel like a Sith drinkin buddy). We've been getting sporadic, 'polite' emails about 'ensuring quality' and 'giving YOU what you've waited 30 years for' e-mails explaining why each projected release date comes and goes!

I agree 100% with your analysis of the rules btw

My request should have been more precise.I was looking for 1/285 or 6mm infantry comparisons

Well, the scale looks consistently 1/285. There are some pre-release minis floating around that appear to confirm that, so you're probably good to go with most any microarmor out there.

I'm in for a tonne of the stuff myself, and have been looking at Brigade and Old Crow 6mm sci fi as non mech human forces.

On a related note, the minis are looking more and more like model kits and not gaming models, at least for the RDF. The Zents look great still, but am not looking forward to assembling 250+ of the bloody things.

I guess the multi part nature of the kits doesn't phase me too much. I survived putting together 30-60 each of GWs Eldar infantry, and those are 8-12 parts per guy for a 25mm infantry figure. A sharp knife and a little plastic glue and you're set.

That's ultimately why I didn't end up backing this one. I could only go really big or not at all, and I know I'd never get the hundreds (!) of minis assembled, let alone painted to look just right (as I would want to paint them). :(
