Iīve painted a new unit for my seleucid army: cataphract cavalry.

These Pendraken models are great, with well defined detail. Also you can make a lot of poses, as it is a two pieces model. However, I found them a bit large, compared to other ancient references.

Cheers!

Good looking figures. I doubt if I could do such an exellent job in this scale. Doing Seleucid cataphracts at the moment (in 28mm) to add to my venerable Essex chaps – have done these in a mix of iron and bronze armour for the riders, horses in bronze armour only.

Nice looking figures! Thanks for posting. I am going to paint some catafracts soon and these will give me a little inspiration. grin

They look great.

Very nice. My only criticism is that, given your painting and basing is so great, you might have done a few head swaps to replace the late Roman parade helmet (Sutton Hoo style) with some Phrygian helmets or something else a little more Hellenistic. Maybe an idea for the other unit?

Regardless, cracking job mate!
