Hey TMPers. I'm moving everything up to 28mm (its a scale that really looks good, and can be painted easily)
So in moving my Britons up to that scale, I've found that the 2 most affordable companies are WGF and warlord.

I already have some of warlords figures, but am unsure on the wargamesfactory Celts. How is the detail on them?

The viking bondi I got are a little soft…. but the ancient Germans are very crisp. It seems their moulds are all over the place!

What are your thoughts?
Let me know!
Thanks
Austin

Yes, WGF are soft. If you didn't like Vikings, you wouldn't like Celts.

The Celts are about on par with the Germans as far as the cavalry goes (Celt Cav vs German Cav & Inf). The chariots are on the softer side. But at that price I can live with it. I can't really comment on the Celt Inf, I don't have any besides the command sprue included in the chariots. But if that's what to judge by, then they will be on the soft side too.

The Celts and Germans are not bad, I agree with what Nick said. I have the Celt Infantry, Cavalry and Chariots and for the price they are pretty good.

The Celtic 'bare chested' bodies are very good, while the clothed ones are blobby. Some of the heads are excellent, others poorly moulded. The weapons and shield are good, although the 'shield plus spears combo' features spears that look far too long – I trimmed them down.

I have both and much prefer the dynamic poses of Warlord.
