Given the Philippines disaster last year I have a couple of questions regarding a problem I am having in contacting a Philippine eBay dealer.

Is it likely he has gone out of business? He still shows on eBay, but isn't responding to emails.

Second, is there something about the Philippine postal service that makes sending parcels to England difficult?

Has anyone any experience in dealing with hobby traders in the Philippines?

TIA

Where in the Philippines is he? If he is in the Tacloban, Northern Cebu or Bohol area he may be dead. Sounds harsh but that is the reality.

I have sent over 700 parcels worldwide from the Philippines since I started my business about 3,5 years ago (probably 50 to the UK) and I did not have one problem. It can be very, very slow, especially if UK customs gets a hold of the parcel, but they always arrive. So no, not difficult to send to England or anywhere else besides the inefficiency, lethargy and crap that you have to deal with when dealing with PhilPost, but that has nothing to do with this.

Again, if he is in the Tacloban, Northern Cebu or Bohol area postal service will be much, much slower as all infrastructure there was largely destroyed by the massive earthquake and later the super typhoon we had.

Would you mind telling me his name, in a PM if you have to? I do not know of any other wargames hobby traders than myself in the Philippines and am curious now of course. :-)

Well he is alive it seems, but I'm blocked from bidding on eBay. Can anyone in the Philippines do me a favour, I will of remunerate them for their time, and cover all costs?

Just to add this is about completing a wargame army. Help a girl out by letting her achieve her goal of completing her collection.
