"Assonet author, J. North Conway, (Jack Conway) has been hired by History Press to write a history of the attack of the British warship Nimrod on Wareham in 1814. The book, "Attack of the HMS Nimrod: Wareham and the War of 1812," will be available as part of Wareham's 200th anniversary of the attack that will be celebrated in June 2014. Conway is the author of more than a dozen non-fiction books including, "The Cape Cod Canal: Breaking Through the Bared and Bended Arm," published in 2008 by History Press and currently in its seventh edition. Since I was unable to write both books, due to other publishing commitments, I suggested that Dr. Michael Vieira write the Wareham book and that I would write the Nimrod book. Mike Vieira and I had just finished co-authoring a coffee-table book on New England weather called ‘The Weather Outside is Frightful' for Cadent Press in Maine

Hopefully they will sort the title out before it it published. "The" should never, ever be used before "HMS". |
