I was at a local hobby shop and found a sale of 28mm blisters at a very good price. One was from Foundry with these miniatures "Popo Agie Mountain Men"

link

I bought it because I liked the miniatures, but I confess I am totally ignorant about the American Old West history. (please forgive me). What period and geographical area do they belong? Who did they fight? Any link to some scenario that could involve these miniatures?

Thank you for your kind informations and advice.

Mad monkey's link mentions Jim Beckwourth. He participated in a battle between the Crow (his friends) and the Blackfoot at Natural Fort in northern Colorado in the 1830s. link

Very interesting, thank you- Looks like a set of black powder skirmish rules, would be more appropriate for these miniatures, rather than a "Old Western Shootout"? What miniatures do you advice for Crow, Blackfoot and other natives?
