Hi,

With starships I use a brass connection system painted black. On a starfield they virtually disappear.

But I really like my aeronefs on clear stands. This pretty much requires me to glue the 'nefs to the base. To date I have been putting them on their side in "egg-crate foam" (foam with peaks and valleys) but I keep ending up with ships off stands, damaged ships, broken stands, etc. How do folks store and transport their aeronefs with attached bases? Any suggestions?

Glue a magnet to the top of the "post", and another magnet to the bottom of the 'Nef?

It's what I did for my Flames of Vietnam helos…

You can also find really small nuts that fit perfectly onto the peg of the flight stands and will take a magnet (glued to the ship). You might want two magnets for bigger nefs though.

Yep, my 'nefs and stands are all magnetized too.

How do you keep the 'nef from rotating on the stand with a magnet?

If you don't mind a bit of expense, you can go with specially made connectors, CorSec or Ninja Magic.

The few I have that are straight magnetized tend not to swivel, and I do my measuring from the base, so a little fudge disturbs me naught.

I also use the small magnets as well and they're great for Aeronef ships that have a thin bottom.

Granted not all of my Aeronef ships I can use the magnets but I'm still working on those.
