My first attempt to embed photos failed and I had to delete the post. Here goes with the second try:
This past Saturday I ran a 6mm-scale game of a scenario I'm developing entitled "Into the Fray at Briey." It is the "final exercise" of a Boot Camp series of scenarios that introduces players to the Micro Melee system. This scenario features a combined-arms attack by a US company of the 357th Infantry Regiment against a crossroads just west of Briey, France on 7 September 1944 defended by two platoons of Volksgrenadiers of the 559th VGD during the US XX Corps' initial advance to capture Metz.
The link below will take you to the full AAR, which includes the photos embedded below, a map, and narrative describing the details of the action:

Here (hopefully second times the charm) are some of the photos contained in the AAR for your viewing pleasure:
View westward from the crossroads objective.
Aerial view of board -- north is top edge of photo.
(Hidden) PaK-40 on high ground at NE corner of board.
US on-board starting position for three platoons.
US 105mm howitzer preparatory bombardment blast pattern – orange chips denote center of blasts.
US 2nd Platoon crosses road en route to North Woods.
US 1st Platoon, Company HQ, and HMG teams enter at west board edge south of the highway.
Shermans 1 and 2 enter along the highway (Sherman 2 in the lead).
Hidden PaK-40 knocks out Sherman 2.
US 3rd Platoon prepares to follow 2nd Platoon into North Woods.
US 1st Platoon clears West Orchard and prepares to advance to East Orchard around south side of farm.
Sherman 1 fires smoke in attempt to block LOS of suspected ATG position.
US 2nd Platoon in North Wood just prior to German 8.0cm mortar barrage on the woods.
Sherman 1 shifts fire to building at NW edge of crossroads settlement after enemy unit fired on US 60mm teams setting up in the area of NW farm.
German 1st Platoon Volksgrenadiers withdraw to fallback positions as building is ready to collapse from tank and mortar fire.
German mortar barrage along highway against Sherman 1 and US 1st Platoon at west edge of East Orchard; unfortunately the rounds fell short causing casualties and suppressing the forward deployed German 2nd Platoon squad as it prepared to fire a PF volley at Sherman 1.
The surviving US 2nd Platoon squads approach the NE farm complex while 3rd Platoon provides over-watch from the edge of North Woods.
M-10 TDs roll forward to support US 1st Platoon's advance.
Hetzers arrive to support Volksgrenadiers at the crossroads.
Sherman 1's bow MG rakes East Orchard wall to suppress enemy squad.
Sherman 4 takes up position at NW corner of West Orchard to support the US advance.
Sherman 1 scores a lucky flank hit on lead Hetzer before it could turn its heavily armored front to face the threat and destroyed it.
Following a third consecutive non-fatal hit by the PaK-40, the crew of Sherman 1 decides discretion is the better part of valor and bails out.
The game ended this point because we ran out of time and it could have gone either way. A US 81mm mortar barrage was registered and would fall within to action phases on the suspected German ATG position on the hill and a German mortar attack would land among the US 2nd and 3rd Platoons at the NE farm and North Woods in one phase.
