Just wondering if anyone plays Reaper's set of skirmish rules. Despite them having one of the largest figure ranges, I have heard exactly nothing about their own rule set.

While we're at it, anyone ever try RafM's USX Modern Day Heroes? I buy a lot of their miniatures but again have heard nothing about their rules.

Warlord is alive and well, if not really big. It's my favorite skirmish game. And you can use any Reaper model in the game, so you can have your army look like anything that really appeals to you. I'm gearing up my Mercs for the ReaperCon Warlord Tournament, which I never do very good at but always have a great time.
You can ask my any other questions you want.

I play Warlord. Its currently my primary set of rules. I like that its generic enough and they have enough stats to represent a wide range of figures. I essentially use my Warhammer figures to play (only play skirmish sized games now). It has a lot of detail while still running a very fast game. It's completely replaced Mordheim for me. My only wish was that there was a way to play without the diminishing stats as damage occurs. Don't get me wrong, I like the way it works, but sometimes I just wanna play something with less record keeping and right now the points are adjusted to all the models to represent how a model takes damage (some models actually get stronger as they sustain more damage). Even when I was teaching this game to my girlfriend, both of us were amazed how fast and slick the system moves. It's a very "violent" system (if you can attack someone, they can attack you back with combat resolution applied to both sides after – double KOs aren't too uncommon) which is why games don't take too long even with 20+ models.

Other skirmish rules I've used are Ares, Skulldred, Song of Blades and Heroes, and Two Hour Miniatures sets. Skulldred would be my second favorite if I want to go a little more simple and have full control over the stat creation. Imagine it as being a more detailed version of SOBH with less randomness. Ares ain't too bad either, and while I think the THM rules are nice, just not my cup of tea.

One thing I'd like to add since I mentioned it and noticed you posted this in Fantasy and Sci-Fi….

Skulldred is in beta right now.. but so far the system works perfectly in both Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I know the creator said he will eventually work on a system specifically for Sci-Fi (tentatively named Stardred), but the current set lends itself perfectly.

I love the original Warlord rules – I haven't played the newer versions – but the original rules were super fun for a fantasy skirmish game.

I love the Modern Day Heroes figures – but they are pretty beefy compared to most of the other 28's I have. They have a TON of character though and are some of my all time favorites. I didn't even know there was a rule set for them.

Warlord is my current obsession.

Is warlord customizable and able to be modified without using the various factions? Or are you pretty locked into reaper's IP and setting?

For casual play with friends, you could simply use the data cards and create your own forces out of the hundreds they have. The armies are all balanced as is. For tournament play or official Reaper events, you are locked into their armies.
