I've been rummaging thru some old models and decided to refurbish some GW figures for HotT. I'd like to build an elven army reminiscent of pre thrid-age tolkien elves, mainly the Noldor of Feanor. I have an old Mageknight figure I'm painting up as Feanor and have cme up with the ff elements: 2 x Blades; 2 x Shooters; 1 x Magician (general)

Any recos as to the other elements?

Perhaps some heavy cavalry of some sort: cv or kn?

I'm thinking of adding 2 riders. I'm not sure about the source material but Luke Ueda-Sarson's notes mention horse archers only. I'm also open to adding more "fantastical" elements but can't figure out what.

Oh here are Luke Ueda-Sarson's notes I was referring to:

Heavy cavalry is attested. I like the Ueda-Sarson article.

You know, with minimal changes you could use the 10mm Warmaster Fantasy High Elves. Also, Copplestone Castings has some 10mm figures.

good figures but I'd like to reuse the old GW figs. I've seen some posted around that look fantastic.

I'm rebasing my GW LOTR figures for HOTT (well really D3H2 – the DBA3.0 version of Hordes 2.0) – even as we speak.

Work great though I often use one less figure per base than the conventional DB mounting scheme (this is allowed under D3H2).
