Hi guys,
Finishing up my Volunteers of Ireland for the AWI.

Last pack is the command. Is the drummer to have reverse colors (green jacket with red lace?)

I sent an email to the group that was reenacting this group, but sadly it looks like they are inactive.

Searches on the web have not been productive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to regulations he would have a green coat with red facings and white sleeve lace but what he actually wore ??

Once again… grin
The Loyalists wished to be "more British than the British".
The Colonel of the VoI was Rawdon, a very good regular army officer.
Since he went out of his way to design that outlandish uniform, I would bet dollars to doughnuts that he would follow regs for the drummer and reverse colours.
I know that *I* did.

NOT "red lace", btw. Red facings. grin
From every source I have read, the lace is plain white tape.

Thank you gents.

John the OFM, I bow to your majestic knowledge!

And I generally bow to John as well.

Usually when playing in his basement to avoid the empty cans of Lager on their way to the "recycle bin"…

Eric, I do say "Duck!"

But not Roger, or anyone else…
