I've rebased my Anglo-Danish and Norman armies. They look a whole lot better. More pictures are here: link and here: link |

Thanks, I like those. I have not been a DBA player, but your post makes me interested in the soon to be released DBA 3 rules for 1066 armies, due to limitations on my gaming space. |

Thanks. I've really enjoyed how DBA 3.0 has played. |

Not half bad! Is that per the DBA 3 list? I picked up an Anglo Norman lot a couple of years ago (45 bases – 13x3KN, 13x4BD, 1x4SP/BD foot command, 1x4SP, 8x3BO, 6x2PS, and 4 baggage). I primed up a mix of Two Dragon, Feudal Castings, and Minfigs KN and SP to enable me to actually field a list army (have some Viking Forge CV from another lot) and am curious as to what I actually need to paint and base to have a BBDBA force. Currently I am finishing up 4x4SP bases and a couple of KN for 2.2 but would like to be able to get it done for 3 as well. Watched a DBA 3 tourney last spring and played a Han army (2.2 list) in a DBA 3 BBDBA tourney last month and it was interesting. Sans the lists though I have been teaching my nieces and nephews 2.2. |

Thanks; I'd be interested to see your army when done. How do the Two Dragon and Feudal Casting figures look alongside each other? I think the Normans and the Anglo-Danish can be fielded unchanged in 3.0. However, the Anglo-Danish have the option of fielding a number of horde instead of some of their spear. Horde are an interesting troop type in 3.0. They don't recoil and they don't count towards breaking. |

I have the SP just about wrapped up painting wise, KN in a couple. My nephew wants to have more Normans! Will post some pics when I have them. Someone noted on a thread about Samurai that one caveat with Two Dragons is the difference in proportion between their figures depending on pose. I decided to paint up the kneeling spearmen I had primed and they are noticeably large next to the standing Essex, not too bad next to the Minifigs. I will pull out some Feudal Castings Norman SP from a Scots Common force I picked up and take a look. The Feudal Castings Normans I had primed were KN. P.S. These won't be anything to write home about – between 'tremors' and less than optimal brushes the detail is a bit rough. Hopefully they are a bit better than TTQ. |

I've got a few elements of FC knights painted; I use them as the Kn command option for the Welsh and Prefeudal Scots. They are a bit static, though you can vary the arms. I'm interested in Two Dragon figures for Song of Blades and Heroes, or for HotT: they might make good heroes, where the size might not matter. |

About that arm varying – the FC knights were an Ebay pick up. When I went to prep them for priming I discovered that two of the arms ended in basket hilted broadswords and lace cuffs. One presumes there are some ECW types on a table somewhere with mail sleeves and longswords
Picked up some Roman-Brits, Anglo-Saxons, and Picts from a fellow TMPer recently. Going through the lot I discovered that Splintered light actually casts some of their figures in both 15 and 18mm. The latter go into their command packs. Interesting. Well, just finished supper, time to get to painting

I had a couple of those arms too. I got replacements from QRF back when they still made them. |
