The last one is one of the most famous dioramas ever created. Bill Horan, master sculptor and painter, did that in 54mm in 1988 I believe. |

I got to see that diorama from Bill Horan at Euro Militaire many years ago, along with many of his other gold medal pieces. It is absolutely incredible, both the sculpting (conversion/resculpting)and the painting are faultless and the posing of the characters is genius. A real master of the craft. |

By William Wollen The first diorama here is pretty good but not competition or showcase standard by any means. For 54mm models the figures are not that well painted and too far apart, as such there is no real relationship between them. The base could have been half the size and told the "heroic last stand" story much better. Shame as the actual terrain and snow work look very good. |
