WSS French Cav lance colors
Hello all,
Does anyone what color the lances of the WSS French cav color bearers are? I know the French infantry carried blue or white flag poles.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi there!

Not sure about infantry flagpoles being blue or white. possibly some were, but all my other sources show natural wood.

Have a look at this source: link

I assume mounted troops had wood coloured too, but have far less source material for them.

Hope this helps?

If by lance you mean the standard or flag pole then the color was usually the same as the standard/flag color. Otherwise go with blue or plain wood.

Yes 18th Cnetury Guy that is exactly what I meant, sorry for any confusion.
herkybird thanks for the link! I got the flag pole colors from the Robert Hall CD on French infantry.
