I fought some of those in a game. They met my German Pioneers. They burn nicely. Especially as they move so slow. The rules give tank riders the opportunity to use the same armor. Don't know how well that would work. You sure did a nice job painting them. |

Nice paint job, except they all look like they've been 'goosed'. Can I suggest there should be no white eyeball visble above or below the coloured iris, only at the sides |

I think they look excellent. I don't do Russian Front but your posts make me lean towards it. Thanks for sharing! |

Hey Robby, I'm guessing sending them in on a tank or such would make thier movement rate less of an issue, apart from when they are running away and trying not to get torched! I'm guessing the rules for the assault engineers are in the soviet supplement rather than the BA book. Speed of movement wasn't something I really thought about. As usual you've brought up more food for thought. John lacour, thank you also JARROVIAN, thanks for the feedback. I don't think they are my best attempt at eyes and the guy kneeling with the SMG is probably the worse offender. I must admit eyes are one of those things, I struggle at times I can end up repainting eyes several times and still not be happy. Thanks Ethanjt21, once your kind comments are warmly recieved. I never really thought I would take up a Russian force but after watching Enemy at the gates, and the series Soviet Storm and the film Star, I was completely sold! and the lovely figures that Warlord are producing. So thanks for the feedback guys, good and bad its all welcome, cheers again Russ |

You're welcome Bracken. I always found it easiest to paint eyeball, then iris, then using flesh colours, take away the eyeball top and bottom until eyelids meet iris (and slightly overlap). I also used to use powdered cigarette ash applied to faces when flesh paint tacky/damp to give a reasonable representation of stubble. |

JARROVIAN, interesting technique for painting stuble, its something i had even heard of. That's what I love about TMP it brings so much advice, help and massive amount of knowledge that people are willing to share |

Wow JARROVIAN, what a nifty idea. I shall try it at my earliest opportunity. Cigarette ash for stubble, who knew? |
