Oval, hmm…… thats an eggciting idea.
I will have to bodge up a design, go an idea on how to do it. WAs going to do hexagonal & octagonal hatches/doors.
Will add the items to website shortly, not thought on prices but will be my usual VfM.
I will alter the split doors to put buttons on outside of frame (looks nicer). Regards MMG. |

link NOTE: I would suggest adding a very thin horizontal "threshold" bar of some sort below the oval, so as to facilitate proper level alignment at the time of placement of the hatch. No wider than the hatch door frame itself. Just a thought. Dan |

Awesome! How about this: could we have simple little mdf slotta bases for the doors? to make them stand-up-able, to use for SciFi Dungeon crawls?

Some of the hatches on the ship were wider, with two portholes and a centered split:

I like these for 6mm especially the aliens. Would 6mm also be possible? I love scratch building my 6mm terrain. |

Have done some small trader hatches.
These are first test cut & needed to increase size of egg hatch slightly. I could do some of the larger hatch/doors in 6mm but believe 2mm thick MDF will look too deep on buildings. Regards MMG |
