Can anyone tell me anything about these rules? I have sen them at shows but they have been cellophane wrapped so I have been unable to tale a peek. |

I played them once at Historicon soon after they first came out. Very light, beer & pretzels skirmish game. |

Poorly edited and proof-read. The morale table/modifiers is *rse over t*t, making elite legion troops easiest to break. Some of the scenarios looked interesting; but in the end, I gave up trying to put it right. (That's something the author/publisher should have done before having the temerity to market it). The short answer is: don't bother. |

I had a copy of Sons of the Desert. I didn't like the way it played. You'd be better off with The Sword and The Flame FFL version. I've played that. It's easy and lots of fun. Blake |

Another vote for FFL Sword and Flame variant. Sons of the Desert does have some interesting scenarios. But the rules do not hang together. It feels like they were rushed out to support Old Glory's (then new) FFL figures. |

I also have a copy. Looks good, lots of nice drawings and scenarios but couldn't work it out. |
