Bullets fly on Earth and in space as the UK takes on Russia in this two-part AAR.

First, this Force on Force scenario has the SAS going up against Spetsnaz: link

Next, British and Russian space forces clash in this Starmada NOVA game: link

The photos include text at the bottom that give summaries of each turn. Introductions and final thoughts (including troop and spacecraft write-ups) are in the Notepad documents.

Nobody liked this one?

I did :) Little hard to read, but both games look like a fun time, and there's some nice ideas.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'll try to make the photos and text clearer in my next AAR.

Sorry, checked with the rest of the guys, and everybody expected someone else to break the silence.

We gotta get organized. I'm SURE there's an app.

No problem. I hope everyone enjoyed the battle reports, and the cameo. wink

No problem with the cameo, though next time, have him sitting pool side on a lounger as he perceives something falling from the sky… ;->=

I feel for your struggle with Force on Force; I've played TW twice, and I'm sure there's a great game in there.

We couldn't find it.

On the other hand, probably my fault. I'm SUCH a vacchead.

Speaking of…, is the Crew Casualty matrix in NOVA, or your invention?

I came up with the crew casualty matrix myself. I drew inspiration from the Lone Wolf and Tolkien Quest game books. I originally intended to use it as a quick combat resolution for fantasy one-on-one melee. Both players roll attack and defense dice; cross-reference your attack die with opponent's defense die to get the result. I decided to use t for other purposes. I am trying to implement it for a war game, but I'm still trying to decide the number of casualties for each result.

Feel free to use it, if you like it.

I actually like the Force on Force game. Right now, I'm just playing around with the Quick Start rules, but I'm saving up for the full set of rules.
