Hi,

Are there any 15mm-tall miniatures of creatures like this long forelimb type, posed on all fours? Or, do you know of anyone already working on it?

Ours don't look anything like that.

not long and gangly like your pictures, Dan, but nice minis.

Thanks guys.

However, I guess I'm after a less upright posture. Trying to avoid the all too common human dollies with wings look.

Aside from an on-all-fours posture, the forelimbs would need to be much longer than the rear ones, so much so that the elbows are drawn far back when walking and stalking on all its limbs:

I guess I'll keep looking … or waiting for someone to capture the precise look I'm after.

Thanks again.

Dan, that posture reminds me more of some of the werewolf/warg minis I've seen. If you found a pose/stance you liked, you could do a head swap, plus add some elongated claws behind each foot.

Hmm …

Hadn't thought of that. I'll check them out. I might be able to do the conversion, if I found the right pose to start with:

Thanks!

Dan,

I just "borrow" my Descent Razorwing (boardgame) miniatures. They are a bit oversized for 15mm but it's close enough for me. Here are some Razorwings that a friend of mine painted.

Those are interesting! How tall are they really?

When I get home tonight, I can provide an exact measurement.

The Descent Razorwing is 20mm tall (feet to top of body), 50mm wide (including wings). With the rise of the wings, it is 35mm (feet to top of wings).

I placed Razorwing next to my Critical Mass Games ARC Fleet figures and it is somewhat larger than man-size, but is still proportional for a giant bat and goes well with my 15mm figs.

Unless you own a copy of Descent 1st edition, Fantasy Flight Games will soon release an expansion that offers the miniatures of the 1st edition, including Razorwings.

"Three complete monster groups with monster cards"

I understand if I have Descent I should already know, and why would I want to buy if I didn't, but can you tell me how many are in each 'group'?

Thanks!

Doug

Edit: Dopey moi, found it. "Includes 4 heroes, 3 Bane Spiders, 4 Razorwings & 4 Beastmen figures." How did you get a flock of 6?

Actually, those look like a new sculpt. Perhaps not what Dan had in mind?

And, if I edit the note one more time, I'll prolly invoke the bug.
