Very very cool… The picture with the mountains in the background would make an awesome sci-fi cover.

Really cool pose, adds a lot of carracter to the mini. I also like the way you did the canope. Could you tell us how you did it?

That pointing finger really makes the model.

"You! Yes, you behind the grape shed! Stand Still laddie!!"

Very well done. I think I may be needing more of these as I've only three….

Hey Z, I agree, you have done the model justice, TBH I hadn't actually considered getting these, but your model is so good it has convinced me to get some, love it.

Thanks all , I'm very pleased you like it.

Thanks RebelMike, hope you sell more Hammer's ( that's what the suits are called in my setting)

Heinz, I'd use " Born to be Wild ", every Rebel's song.:)

JBR Glad you think it's awesome, coming from the designer that's praise indeed ,you made my day :):):)

Great,Gunner , yes do get some & seeing your work ,you'll be converting them also ,for sure.

I just noticed that some script I wrote yesterday on the blog got missing somehow ( I get an abysmal connection sometimes)but here they are…

Other parts I added are – 2 Pva glue Lenses (upper front l/h corner) & 2 tiny Pc metal connector aerials rear upper torso (one is shaped like a fork , see my post on flat cables).

Ok as for the cockpit, would you believe me if I say that that was a failed experiment that came out good? The model was given a grey car primer undercoat (I use Plasticote cans as I find that this is one of the strongest). It was then painted with a W&N Peat brown + a little black ink. At this point it looked good BUT forgetting Murphy's Law, I tried to make it better!!!

When I "thought" it had dried I went to highlight/lighten it with W&N Canary yellow ink but this actually started to remove the brown ink,in a state of panic I started to add peat brown & then some more yellow … & bit by bit I managed to blend it.I actually do not know if I can recreate this effect on my other HAMR model !!!.The edges were blended with a darker mix of brown. The name Zed is hand painted ,off course.

The white camo was done like on my Chieftain & Amx30 ( seen in my other post about 1/72 in 15mm ) is actually a a variation of a water colour technique called Wet on Wet.Where first you prime, then base coat, then start adding paint & blending ink while the paint is still wet.Though sometimes erratic, this can be controlled if ink is added in very small quantities.I always use brown ink to shade white rarely black.I'll post a tutorial soon.

Decals came from a 1/32 Airfix German ww2 helmet insignia & Cut up 1/72 Wehrmacht vehicle number plates. The Skull on top is a hand made decal.

Pity it had to compete against superbly airbrushed models in the competition.Perhaps next time there will be a section for both.I think these 2 schools of painting are apart & very different.Like Water colour & Oils/Acrylics on canvas.

Hope this is all clear & makes sense as English is not my Native language. As always you can contact me on zrunelord@gmail.com if you need help etc.

Thanks Dan, that's great.

Papa Sync, had to look this one up you mean the Ogre , in the soon to come out Xbox game, TitanFall ?

My main problem now is whether to use this mini for gaming or put it in a showcase for fear of harming it :(

Oh and by the way , if you haven't read it, do read "Embedded" by Dan Abnett , the ideas & jargon inside are a veritable font of information for gaming, apart from being great reading.

What I forgot to add,is that a white drybrush was given after the grey undercoat.
So the lighter the base coat , the more it will show through the ink ,as inks ,as you all know are semi transparent.

The system can also be used for doing dabble camo on a vechile.Try using different colours also ( eg. blue on sand base coat).I think this is the bases of the new GW layers, yes ? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Another thing , people have commented that they like the lighting.I used a normal DSLR & since it did not have a flash for macro ( most cameras do not , this will result in stark white minis), I cut a hole in a large piece of white card ,poked the lens through it & used it as a diffuser , hence the warm pics.
The whiter ones ( eg the poster}where taken outside in bright sunlight.
