So in a season 1 epiosde of star trek TNG, Q sends them to a planet were Q is a "french Marshal" IN RED UNIFORM
The "campgain HQ" hads both Tricolor color and the old french 3 crowns.

and the beast men in "french uniforms" don't look like french soldiers, the uniform(dark blue trousers and jacket with red facings, including red lappels. looks "kinda" like french Marine uniforms, but nothing like fusiliers.

The HORROR!

They probably painted their artillery limbers and caissons incorrectly and had the wrong pompom colors on their Grenadiers too!

dBerczerk18 Mar 2014 7:47 a.m. PST

Quite disappointing.

An interesting concept, but poor execution.

That show had so much potential, but fell so short.

How do you know Q isn't correct. He was there and you weren't. ;)

I am going to write an angry letter…

Bricole!

Just more proof why you should never trust Q.
Thank God no tanks were involved.

That uniform is actually correct for the Third Regiment of Wardrobe Reserves.

If only Picard had picked Q up on the uniform errors, it would have scuppered his plans!

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut18 Mar 2014 11:06 a.m. PST

Alternate dimension/timeline/reality.

marshallken18 Mar 2014 11:54 a.m. PST

Thanks for the heads up – I shall never use Star Trek again for my uniform references.

Caesar18 Mar 2014 1:30 p.m. PST

Then how are you going to know which uniforms to paint on your Star Trek crews?

Swiss? Marshal Lannes link

Nicolas Luckner? link

MacDonald? link

Few more here: link

Lets face, Marshals chose and designed their own uniforms, so Q was just following a hallowed tradition.

Q did seem partial to reds. His Star Fleet uniform of choice was invariably the reddish one.

Was that supposed to be for the Command branch, anyway? A change from the original series branch color schemes.

Picard should be ashamed as he was FRENCH!
