hey guys! I just posted some pics and a review of a game w played 2 weeks ago. took 2 weeks for the pics to get to me! the master files were too big to send via email and I'm the technology-inclined one in the group. also discuss the rules we used, with some of the many modifications I made. link Cheers! |

Nice write up. It sounds like it was a fun game. I liked the morale cards coming up at a random time. Especially your comment about not being able to "game" the system with the way an army breaks is interesting. |

Nice, practical commentary on the rules – please post here whenever you update your house rules! Cheers, Christopher |

Nice report and pictures. I like the Field of Battle and Piquet rules systems. they are built for you to play around, if so required, and still keep a good, usable rule system. |

Very nice looking game! Some of your changes are interesting. I am a huge fan of FOB. I would disagree about your point on the 4 cav units charging a single one and only taking hits on that single one. Hits in FOB don't totally represent numbers of troops eliminated. A UI is registered on a unit when enough damage has been done to affect the unit. Those other Cavalry regiments may well have suffered losses due to fire. Just not enough to affect the unit. However, it's your game and of course you guys should play as you like. I just wanted to provide a different perspective on that topic. Thanks, John |
