Here's a series of AARs using the recently released 5150 New Beginnings – Urban Renewal and the upcoming Machinas. I know where I want this story to go but instead of just setting up a one-off Encounter, I'm going to use Urban Renewal to get there. Let's see how it works out.

I start the story without anything being known before hand. Not the who, where or what. All I know for sure is that Billy Pink is my character and everything else will be generated by the rules!

First we start with the section called "Looking For Work"; found in Urban Renewal.

Is this and PI an expansion of new beginnings or stand alone? Or is it a new version?
Thanks in advance

Urban Renewal is the updated New Beginnings and NHC,PI is the supplement. They use the Final Version mechanics that all the other THW games now use.

From reading the AAR it would appear I'd need a ton of different miniatures to play this game. If the meeting had gone bad and turned into a fight I would need miniatures similar to descriptions of the people he was meeting correct?

bluenotebooks – If just playing Machinas you don't need minis as once your vehicle is wrecked, you're done.

If you're playing Machinas as part of a New Beginnings or After the Horsemen or any rules set actually you would need minis. But if you already had those games you'd have the minis.

So you can play it by itself or as part of another game you're already playing.
