I guess. I have them loose so I don't know. They look like partisan, mercenary, spy types. Good for lots of colonial stuff as well.

I recognized Kirk Douglas and John Malkovich as second and third figures. Perhaps Sally Field as the first one? Any guesses on the others?

Yes, two different packs of Pulp Figures – the first four are from the sea captains pack and the last guy is from one of the merchant seamen packs.

Like the guy with the monkey. Fits for any era post 1910ish really.

Throw a big enough party and EVENTUALLY some jerk in a turtleneck will bring his pet monkey. The further in the future you go, the more "avent garde" or "hipster" he becomes!
