Went buy my local CVS pharmacy and found a rack of cars that I think work great for modern/Zombies. Here is a photo with the SEAL team from Eureka miniature's for size comparison.
They are a touch big but for $5.99 USD- where else can you get a VW bus in this scale. Would a Zombie eat a hippie? Only if it is real hungry…

And then the zombie gets the munchies from the THC in the hippie's blodstream, goes looking for girl scout cookies.

There's some weird coding on the tail end of your link, but this one works fine: link

Try this, it may be the one I tried to delete.

What scale are they?

Some Kroger grocery stores also have them. They are generally a mix of 1/30s, 1/40s and 1/50s scale, depending on the vehicle.

I will check to see if it says what scale they are-looks like 1/56.

Yea its hit and miss on the scale of the vehicles at CVS and Wallgreans. I have added a pile of them to my collections over the years. I have enough to fill a parking lot at a small mall :) witch makes for a fun game.

Try the Dollar Stores and 5-Below. I have found plenty of correctly scaled vehicles there for cheap and they have doors that open and close.

Dollar General in particular carry New Ray and Welly diecasts in 1:50-1:43 scales all the time for under $3 USD usually. Unfortunately they tend towards the supercars and other performance machines… Stuff like trucks and vans are harder to come by.

Hadn't thought of Dollar General, I got some construction equipment there before but haven't looked there in a while.

I use these cars almost exclusively. The selection varies widely from store to store, but well worth a look.

Here are some of them with various 28mm figures.
