"Brazil plans to build an aircraft carrier with a foreign partner as part of an effort to enhance its military readiness, Defense Minister Celso Amorim told reporters today.

"The idea is for it to be built in Brazil, probably based on an existing project," Amorim told a group of foreign correspondents. Latin America's largest country will require a new aircraft carrier within 15 years and will modernize its existing one in the meantime…"

How're our nuclear submarine, high-speed railine and the Sao Paulo metro system coming along boys?

We can't even get our football stadiums done on time and correctly and we're going to build a carrier, eh?

A more appropriate headline would be: Amorim farts out of his mouth to the press on a slow news day.

But I'm sure we can Beat Iran, China and North Korea all to hell when it comes to photoshopping a new aircraft carrier!

My prediction? In 25 years, not 15, we'll do what we always do and rent-to-own some clapped-out piece of crap from the English or the French.
