I hope the title makes sense (the original title was deemed too long!), but here's a question wanted to ask you lot, which miniature companies do you know that are willing to either buy the odd miniature sculpt, or take them on a % commission basis?
I know there are a few out there, but just was interested to see just how many there were and who.
I say this as I make loads of stuff whilst I'm in practice sculpting mode and end up with lots of random one off figures that end up doing nothing, and I'd prefer to see them doing something rather than going to waste, plus may raise a bit of spare cash in the process.
Any ideas? I don't want to go around cold calling as it wastes valuable time that I could be earning money on jobs, so its a bit easier to approach the ones that are open to it before spending hours writing emails to places that aren't interested in the first place.

1:1 scale?

Kyn ell12 Mar 2014 7:45 a.m. PST

It's been mainly 15mm-20mm scifi at present, but I'm trying to get more into 28mm stuff lately. No 6mm I'm afraid at the moment, but as time goes on, I may try my hand at them to widen my palette. I keep trying new styles and genres to push my skills, so they're getting a bit ecclectic, so could be anything!
I've been just giving them to my kids to practice their painting skills on so I'd rather find a proper use for them as there's a bit more incentive in finding a new home for them than them going to waste.
Maddaz111: I've got a few odds and ends, I'll get them photoed and send you an email!

GeoffQRF: 1:1 scale is my usual stuff (masks and props and so on) but stuff like that I only generally make for private commissions, plus they take up lots of room and aren't exactly what I'd call "miniature"!!

Thanks to everyone for the responses, I'll sort out the sculpts and get them photoed in the morning and get back to everyone who's expressed an interest during tommorrow (I'm not at home right now, so I can't do anything till I get back)

Kyn ell12 Mar 2014 4:13 p.m. PST

Mr Harold: I'll shoot you an email with what I've got!

Napthyme: I'll email you as well if you like Jim, and I'll let you know about what we were talking about before, I've been really busy so haven't had much time, plus I'm not a supporting member now, so couldn't message you here!

Shaun from S & S: if you want to send me an email to grimacereaper73 (at) gmail (dot) com, I'll send you a list & pics of what I've got at the moment along with everyone else!

If there's anyone else who wants me to email them about the sculpts, get in touch with me at the above email address and I'll send you the list/pics etc too!
