Seeing today's banner, let us all raise a glass today to the memory of Don!

I have his book, Wargames handbook of the American War Of independence, One of my favorites.
I use it often, it is a first edition from 1977 and it still has its dust jacket.
Happiest of birthdays Mr. Featherstone…..I know you are watching.

That's the best page header I've seen on TMP and very, very richly deserved.

If ever a person deserved to be commemorated on a TMP banner it is Don.

To paraphrase the inscription in St Pauls:

If you seek his monmument, read his books.

I just know that one of his books is what helped start me on my journey. That and visiting the Bunker in Copperas Cove, TX one fateful day :-) Such a pillar of the wargaming world. My one regret is never being at Historicon at the right time and thanking him personally.
