Morning all, just aquick post to say that the 2014 Naval Wargames Show will be held at the Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport, Hampshire on June 21st and 22nd. Admission to the show is free (the show is external to the main museum, which charges regular admission). We have a number of games lined up so far but there is space for a few more so if you have a naval themed game (which in the past we have extended to cover naval aviation, marine landing parties, invasions, special forces ops and riverine actions) that you would like to run please let me know. As in previous years the focus is on gaming and an opportunity for naval gamers to get together and chat so there is no formal "trade" element (that said a few traders have come along in previous years, albeit mainly to play, but also with some stock too) This year we are hoping to run a large "Sails of Glory" game, based loosely on the Battle of the Nile. If it happens this will run on the Sunday. The intention is that participants will bring their own ship(s) and use their own ship logs, counters and damage chits to avoid the possibiluty of mixing or losing items. Again, if you are an SGN player and you'd like to take part please let me know. the progression of this event will depend on an early(ish) indication of interest. Note there will almost certainly be a few slots available in the game for players who don't have models and materials |

Hi David, This year it is in my diary in blood. I hope to be there both days. As you know I have no SOG ships, sorry. But I hope you can get it off the ground and do the biggest and best SOG game so far. See you at Gosport. Be safe Rory |

David, I am really interested in going to this but, being in Northern Ireland, would like to know a bit more about it before setting off. Is there anyone I could email for some more information? |
