Gents, Hanoverian artillery has now been added to Siege Works Studios website, next up are the Musketeers, not too long now :)
We have also uploaded a free fast play booklet called Speed gaming for anybody that enjoys points based games. Although it is a supplement for Koenig Krieg, it can be used with any points based Horse and Musket set of Rules with a bit of tweaking. It will even work with Grand Battles Napoleon, our Napoleonic rules to be launched in the next month!
Please feel free to order your free PDF here link Cheers Drew |

A nice piece. What was the template to it? The carriage bracket cheeks and axle tree look like the French Swedish-style carriage for their short 4-pounder. The wheel's naves look quite Prussian to me. Not so bad a take. Hannoverian 3-pdr battalion gun barrels were longer and heavier then the French short 4-pdr, though. All were 24 shot diameters long or 170.4 cm – very similar as the Prussian M1717 3-pdr model. Your models barrel looks shorter to me. Cheers, Christian crogges7ywarmies.blogspot.com |

Hi Christian, I am afraid these Hanoverian artillery are a sculpt prior to my purchase of the range. My guess is that they are probably inspired by French influences, since the Hanoverians did use a lot of captured French equipment, so its how I might have approached it had I been working on the original sculpts :) Curiously, are you saying that if I make a larger Light gun barrel the gun could pass as a Prussian light gun and if I make a shorter barrel the gun could pass as a French light gun? That Wold be interesting :) |

They were not so much inspired by French influences, the Hanoverians actually used captured "Swedish" guns. |
